MOLDoctor, Inc., has been doing business as GLM Mycology Lab throughout Southern California since February 2001. The laboratory has focused solely on mold and bacteriological investigations and analyses, providing expertise to both residents and businesses.
Although the company is small, with a team of three dedicated employees (who provide on-site investigations, sample collection, laboratory analyses, consultation and legal expert witness services), we have over 45 collective years of experience in these fields.
George L. Miller (founder and president) has been involved in environmental investigations since 1970, and received a BS in PreMed/Zoology and a MS in Biology (Immunochemistry/Microbiology) from San Diego State University. With his broad background spanning many years, he has been able to offer unique and extensive consultation for issues ranging from mold infested homes to complex environmental problems.
During his career, he:
* created and managed two mycology (mold) laboratories: GLM Mycology Lab and H.M. Pitt Labs;
* created and managed a major analytical (chemistry & bacteriology) laboratory for 20 years: Coachella Valley Water District;
* created and administered an environmental consulting (chemistry & engineering) corporation: Southern California Environmental Engineering Laboratory;
* received advanced mycological training at the McCrone Research Institute (Chicago, IL);
* participated in generating an EPA environmental impact report on the San Diego Bay as a Principal Scientist: Environmental Engineering Laboratory;
* authored over 35 major waste characterization (RCRA) data packages as Project Manager at the high radiation (222-S) laboratory, Hanford, WA.: Westinghouse Hanford Company;
* instructor of chemistry and microbiology: College of the Desert, Palm Desert, California;
* is a member of the International Association of Aerobiology; and
* is certified by the Environmental Assessment Association as a

Cathy Horner (Supervising Industrial Hygienist) has been performing mold investigations for businesses and residents since 2001, and has also received advanced mycological training at the McCrone Research Institute.
During her career, she:
* investigated/inspected over 800 cases of mold infestation in homes and businesses;
* authored hundreds of mold remediation plans (detailed, comprehensive instructions to mold remediation companies regarding clean-up of structural mold infestation and mold spore contamination); and
* is a member of the Pan-American Aerobiology Association.
